The 5th Annual Chelan Pride 2026: No Permission Needed

Existence is our rebellion. Love is our resistance.

For too long, the world has asked us to wait, to quiet down, or to fit into boxes that were never built for us. This year, we aren't asking. The theme for Chelan Pride 2026 is No Permission Needed.

We gather not because we were granted space, but because we are the space. We celebrate the radical act of simply being ourselves; authentically, loudly, and without apology.

Our Roots: A Riot, Not a Picnic

While we gather in the sunshine of Riverview Park, we remember that Pride didn't begin with a picnic or a parade. It began as a riot.

We stand on the shoulders of the Black and Brown trans women, sex workers, and street kin who had enough of the status quo. We honor icons like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, who fought back against state violence and reminded the world that "Pay It No Mind" is a way of life. We carry their spirit of defiance into every corner of the Chelan Valley.

This is a family-friendly event designed to center our community and celebrate our collective strength. Come for the music, stay for the solidarity.
